Villa Park Spring Sweep

On Saturday, May 16th, from 9:00am - 12:00pm, the Village of Villa Park will hold its Spring Sweep 2020 event, an event for residents (and non-residents) to get rid of many of their "spring cleaning" items, such as bicycles; books, CDs, and DVDs; clothing, shoes, and housewares, building supplies and tools; medical equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches; scrap metal and propane canisters; latex and oil-based paints; batteries; paper (will be shredded on site); fire extinguishers; and more. The event will take place on Home Avenue, right outside of Village Hall. We are seeking volunteers, and a member of our commission thought that Troop 199 may be able to provide some volunteers. We will have the authority to sign off on volunteer/service hours. All minor volunteers will be supervised by an adult, as well.
