What is a flag service?

Want a flag in your yard?

FLY THE FLAG is part community service and part fundraiser. For your annual subscription, our scouts install and light a beautiful US flag in your front yard, creating a dramatic patriotic display on your street.

The flags fly on these important flag holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Flag Day
• July 4th
• Labor Day & Patriot's Day (9-11)
• Veteran's Day

Our promise

We promise that your flag will fly for at least the full 24 hours of the holiday (roughly following our 2025 calendar below). And, we always light our flags in the evenings, according to proper flag etiquette.

Our flags are a generous 3'x5' and made in the USA.

Why subscribe?

Your subscription teaches our scouts valuable lessons about community and patriotism, supports our troop activities, and teaches positive lessons, like goal setting and the value of earning your own way.

100% of your subscription goes to our scouts and Troop 199!

Each flag set up costs us $25, so your donation helps us put even more funds into our scout and troop accounts.
